Bits of random...
Saw 'The Spiderwick Chronicles' today. Took me about thirty seconds to slash the brothers... Ordered a bunch of manga from Amazon. Amazon insists on sending them all separately, spamming me with 'your shipment' messages once every minute or so. I'm presuming bulk freight has gone up in cost. Before I waste a holiday or two dozen on it - if I managed to scribble out a boring GW genfic, would anyone bother to read it? I have been writing recently, but not anime fanfic. Gameplay AfterActionReport, on the game Europa Universalis III. Game fanfiction, in a way. LJ account expired... dunno whether to bother renewing it, at present. | | Wednesday, June 17th, 2009 | | 3:54 pm |
Viewfinder wanted...
After a six-months 'no-buy' period, I'm off raiding Amazon.com again. The sum total is already alarmingly high, but there are a few items that are unattainable through regular Amazon. The 'Mars' volumes I'm missing, I can find at reasonable prices on Amazon Marketplace, but... My 'most wanted' now is Viewfinder, volume 2. The cheapest listing I can find is $175, plus shipping - and they're all used. If any of you have this volume in reasonable condition, and would be willing to part with it for a sum below $175, please let me know? The urge to complete the collection doesn't let up. ...alternately, I might try to sell my volume 3 of the series. Amazon Marketplace' cheapest listing of that is $250. I'm also looking for a copy of 'Invoke' which seems to be permanently out of print. Not even the Marketplace has that available now. If you have a lead on that, I'd appreciate it. Spring Cleaning...
...so, time to do some tidying up in the digital mess. Have put everything in this journal on 'private', and will commence deletion shortly. Nothing anyone will miss, anyway. I'm also very much contemplating turning this journal into 'friends only' mode, as the eerily quiet Russian journals that have friended me are pushing all my paranoia buttons. If what little I scribble here interests you, and I've not currently friended you - just let me know you're human and not a spam-blog, and that will change. :-) EDIT: Jeebus, is LJ's deletion interface clunky... two hours, and I've barely gotten started on deleting non-fic stuff... EDIT #2: ...jeez. Six hours of click-click-click, and finally down to just fic-entries. I think. Best double-check. EDIT #3: It's oddly therapeutic to read through some of these old things, to look back at things from a more distant perspective - and for all of you who've followed me and commented at any point throughout that time, I can but say thank you. ...now, whether to dare read through feedback on old ficbits... |
